Routine Visits atbp

My wrist watch was silently ticking 12:05am, my baby was kicking me non stop, my head was aching hard, my hungry stomach was gurgling loud, frenchguy who was seated infront of me started to have his impatient nerves killing him. After almost 2 hours of long agonizing wait at my gynecologist waiting room with other expectant mothers, I finally had my routine check-up for my 6th month of pregnancy. If only I was there just to renew my pills prescription, I could have evaporated even before the first hour! Anyways...

In 6 weeks (from my last visit), I gained 3 kilos! How about that. Not that my gynecologist blatantly asked me to go on a diet, but she asked me to take careful attention on what I eat. Me, who always thought being reasonable on that aspect! My baby is now 1.2 kilos, hmm, still on the average. Tho if I were to base on the average gain per week based on statistics, my baby will be at 3.8 kilos on D Day! Kaya kaya ng powers ko yun?

If I continue with my exponential weight gain tendency, I will surely overpass my target! Uh-oh!

Aside from the usual prescription for urine and blood analysis, a glucose test will be equally done this month. 2 telephone numbers were given to us on the same occasion: one for the maternity clinic (to reserve the room and meet the anesthesiologist), another for the midwife (for the delivery preparation courses). Well, all that leads to one big thing: D Day is just around the corner! Lagot!

Oh well, the joys of being pregnant. I start to sleep really bad, back pains attacking the whole of me. I start to have scary dreams, or should I consider them as nightmares? I start to feel heavy, I have double chins and I can't even cross my legs anymore. Cutting my toenails was a real gymnastic adventure. You have to be pregnant to really experience that...endless difficulties and worries..but would you believe, just one big kick is just enough to erase all those difficulties, I'm probably just impatient to cuddle her.

Consider this as a consolation, but I found this parking space especially for me. Isn't that a brilliant idea?

for your back pains, you'll need iron supplements, ask your OB for this.

as for sleeping, what i used to do was to put 3 pillows at my head and part of my shoulder, and sleep in a slanting position. its more comfortable, try it. if my head was flat on the bed or with just 1 pillow, i feel like i couldn't breath.

and when the baby is kicking real hard, its the best time to talk or sing to the baby and massage your tummy. it will calm the baby. this was the best part of the pregnancy that i liked the best!

the 2nd part of pregnancy that i liked the most was eating!

When I was preggy Chiropractor was the best for my backaches. As for cutting my fingernails and toenails hubby was the best.

Jo, thanks for the advice, it worked miracles on me. I had a terrible headache last night but was nevertheless able to sleep with that slanting position. I normally sleep on the left side, that's what they normally advice, so with one pillow more, everything was smoother..plus, I talked to my baby last night not to agitate that much and let maman get a good sleep ;)

I have a vitamin supplement that i've been taking since my 2nd month yata...my back pains are more because of ngawit yata..

Agring, I'm doing aquagym once a week for that back pains..I'm not much into medicines kasi..

Kala, hehe, yeah, there are a lot of preggies in the blogging world at the moment...I guess I'm quite over the normal weight for my 6th month...ya know, vacations didn't really help!

That parking space is really cool - just infront of the entrance! I start to complain kasi that France is not preggy-friendly. They should think about the parking space, the speedy lanes in the supermarkets, etc etc...so there's the answer hehe..

Kat, avoid sugar! just like my mom said, o, wag kang masyadong kumaking in ng halohalo dyan ha hehe...

Nao, natural kasi nyehehehe...

grabe, you waited for 2 hours? How many gynecologists do you have in Dijon? If she'll be 3.8 kgs., that's perfect! Kaya mo yon! Btw, c-section or vaginal birth? I'm sure everything will turn out just fine. Don't worry. ;)

Not only my husband cut my toenails, since I love wearing nail polish, my husband applied it too. Imagine the picture!

fais attention à toi,
boks ;)

Boks, we only have 3 lady gynecologists in Dijon, and mine is just 5 minutes away from work, no choice! she was at the clinic yesterday morning, thus the long wait...nabasa ko na nga lahat ng magazines e, and frenchguy just couldn't get back to work, we used just one car..

target is vaginal birth, with the help of epidural of course. wag naman sana ganun kalaki no..

hehe, nail polish? baka batukan na nga talaga ako ni frenchguy nyan hehe..

Buti pa dyan may reserved parking slot for preggies. Dito sa Pinas, sa MRT na lang, parang hindi nakikita ng mga lalaki yung mga buntis na nakatayo.

you are really glowing future maman. ;) about that parking space you found, it reminded me nung buntis pa ako. they have one like that (isang spot lang talaga) at the parking lot where we usually do grocery shopping. laging iyon ang ini-ispatan ni hubby kung may nakauna na ba sa amin. hehehe!

I had nightmares too before, it's normal I guess. Just like Agring have said, ask frenchguy to cut your toe nails. Hubby did mine too when I can't reach my toes anymore. =o)

Jo, thanks talaga, 2nd night and still working ;)

AnP, i guess the fact that they talk a lot of their pregnancy here makes me more of a paranoid :(

TinTin, salamat pow..(kilig)

Kulotski, actually, yung mga girls kadalasan ang nakakakita sa mga buntis, right?

Ligaya, that parking space is not everywhere, unfortunately, sana nga dumami, how i wish...sana meron din sa work..

Errrr, toenail cutting? frenchguy? di compatible e...i dont even want to see him when he cuts his nail..ya know, here, they cut with a scissor and not with a nailcutter as what we have in pinas..

KaDyo, thanks! 3 more months, whew!

try not to obsess with the baby's weight. with me, the estimates turned out to be about half a kilo off!
