Tax Season

It's tax season again. The nouveauté this year is that we received our tax declaration file already filled up. A little modification here and there and voila, it's done. But that didn't add a single bit of motivation to declare our taxes earlier. Is it because it involves money going out of our pocket? Probably. Those blue documents have been messing up our to-do files since early May so I decided to look up on it last night.

Another nouveauté this year is the coming of Louna. I did two computation simulations to check the benefits of having her around, financially speaking of course. Aside from the happiness and fulfillment she brought in our life, she also let us save 1,500€ from our taxes. Not bad, you say? Well, I thought we could save bigger. Ok, ok, I'll keep my mouth shut and stop complaining!

Louna is small but helpful....he he he nakatulong pa sya sa tax! Kami nga Ana, since I am a stay home mom syempre ngayon declared na rin si Mimi 3 na kaming dependent ni Bernard. We can't decide if I will be working or not ksi di ba kung magwork and will gain SMIC parang ganon din mas tataas pa tax di ba!

Anyway, just sharing this to you maybe I'll just make a little business for a large Filipino community dito ;-) to avoid taxes he he he!

That's the problem sometimes, you have to compute everything before deciding into something, iba kasi system nila dito. A friend I know in Paris had the same problem when she had a kid, she cannot decide whether to work or not, baka kasi mapunta lang lahat ng sweldo nya pambayad ng nounou, e di sya na lang di ba...

pero i was a bit disappointed, i thought i could get back at least half of our tax, liit lang pala..pero ok na rin, at least meron..

Ana, do you file your taxes via the internet? It's the first time we tried it. Isn't it cool?! Plus you get a 20€ discount ;-) I love technology. But like you, I hate taxes.

Hi Kala, yep, we file it via the internet since last year. It's better now, easier access. Last year, heavy traffic on the net for filing, we were even late because of that!

Oi, 1,500€ is already a lot of money - a roundtrip ticket to the Philippines plus pocket money - although if you feel you can have more. Another baby maybe????

Makis, haha, i actually simulated that possibility..et effectivement...that's another option that merits to be pondered on..
