Life's Simple Pleasures

Nao asked me to list the Top 10 of my life's simple pleasures. Aussitôt dit, aussitôt fait. You name it, you got it.

1. An afternoon nap with Louna, preferably on a hammock - I start dreaming of being a SAHM so we could do it everytime we want. If you give me even around 80% of my salary, enough to pay my monthly amortization for the house and some pocket money, I won't think twice, I sure will give that a shot.
2. A look from her trying to get my attention - yes, this little princess starts to have her own trick to charm everyone.
3. Playing with her and watching her grow (especially while she's sleeping) - add to that the sweet little smile she generously gives when she wakes up.
4. Sitting on frenchguy's lap - I'm actually her original bébé!
5. Arriving at the summit (during a mountain hike) - what a pleasure to reach the goal inspite of the difficulties.
My Little Geisha
6. A walk in the park - after a day's work, this sure changes the atmosphere.
7. A smile from a stranger - Throw me a smile, it doesn't cost a cent, ya know.
8. A phonecall or an email from family and friends - it's always a pleasure. Tho it seems that I'm receiving less and less..or is it because I communicate less and less because of tight schedules of being a working mom?
9. Receiving pictures from my niece and nephews - these tiny monsters (and their parents) are lazy farts. I still should beg them before they send me one. Well, they don't realize what homesickness means.
10. When somebody who hadn't seen me for quite a time tells me that I gained weight - That would surely make my day ;)

hi! thanks for the mother's day greeting! your little bebe is so adorable in her all-white baptismal outfit! i'm getting ready to do that too come july!
and i love your "rediscovering france" post! i went to paris in january 1991 with a girl friend, but i think i would enjoy another look at it since at that time, it was freezing weather, and we were poor, broke college students!

I am still on my 3rd out of 6 months maternity leave and I already feel a bit tired and bored, but then again, life's little pleasures are priceles. There's nothing like having your baby next to you 24/7. I mustn't really complain. Very soon, I'll be going back to work, and like you, I would be dreaming to stay at home just to be with my boys.

Enjoy it to the fullest Analyse, they grow so fast, next thing you know she's putting on make up to go out with a date ;-) She is just adorable.

Kat, goodluck to the baptism of your little rockstar, it's tiring but it adds to the essence of being a mom hehe...

Soy, i have to be honest, now you remind me, i was feeling exactly the same when i was still on leave...ok, i'll stop complaining...and hey, sarap mo naman, i only had 4 months leave!

Lynn, aw, don't talk about that yet..but yes, these little monsters grow too fast! I could hardly keep up..

aaaaaaaaaww! bebe Louna is so sweeet, very charming sya bading! aliw rin ako sa number 4. Pareho tayo, loves to be cuddled while on husband's lap. Yung number 6 naman, minsan ko nang ginawa yan dito sa Toronto, when i smiled at one pinay (kababayan ko pang naturingan chuva!) i dunno.. mega inirapan nya lang ang lola mo. Grabe, from then dedma na rin ako.

Pahabol pa pala to make your day: hey bakla.. you gained weight! (thanks for making this meme Ana, appreciate!)

bwahahaha bading, that made my day, i'm smiling alone infront of my computer na hehe..

re: non-smiling pinay - i'm wondering why most of the strangers in the Phils find pinay very charming with their smiling face - aba e, pag kapwa pinoy na, puro tayo simangot, why is that?

Ganyan ata talaga pag parents na, a walk in the park is enough! Tsaka never ending kissess sa mga bébé di ba! hhhhhmmmm sarap nilang pangigilan ;-) Have a nice & long vacation Ana to you and the rest of the family!

p.s. oo nga smiling face naman tayong lahat ah dito sa france pag smile ka ng smile kala nila ma tililing di ba!

wow, simple pleasures with bébé really mean great pleasures, no?

Here in Paris region, a smile from a stranger or even from a neighbor costs a lot...

Haze, hehe, natawa naman ako dun, I thought people from the south smile more than people from the north...ibig bang sabihin, mas maraming me tililing dyan hehe..

Neng, dreaming of being a SAHM na nga ako e, sa sobrang addicted to bébé..

Joy, kaya nga we're thinking of living in a small village nung una, so we could have a potable neighboorhood sana.. but we ended up living in a centre ville pa rin.. anyways..

Agring, bilis lumaki ng mga babies.. too much to discover in a very short time..

Duke, shhh, di lang ako, pati mommy ko at mga sisters ko :( ... tho everybody here tells me I should be happy with it ... kanya kanyang problema lang...
